Philippians 1:20, “As it is my expectation and my hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my life and my body, and in my soul and my whole life, whether by life or by death.” Whether I end up living or dying I’m going to serve him and let him have my whole life.

Now, let me stop right here and make a little adjustment to your thinking for a minute. Today, I want you to come with me and put away all the PC correct junk. When we usually preach about something like this, we always kind of… I’m not here to spoil the party, but I want to bring truth to you. Somebody will always say, “Yeah, but false expectations can end up being a real negative.” Ok, that’s true. A false expectation put on somebody can cause them to try to live a lifestyle that they can’t live. But, for a minute, I want you to let go of all those other synonyms, or whatever you want to call them, and the PC correct stuff, and just let’s tip over completely with expectation. How many of you just want to get radical and expect? Come on! Get radical and say, “I’m going to expect! I’m expecting! I’m expecting!”

Look. I know that the balancing act is always there, and I’m a person that believes that a false balance is an abomination to the Lord. So, I believe in the balance process, but sometimes we let the PC correct spiritual dialogue rob the reality of a specific truth, and the specific truth is this… It’s okay to have an exorbitant amount of expectation. I can expect my God to show up in the morning! I can expect my God to supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory! I can expect my God to heal me when I need Him to heal me.

Say, I’m expecting! You’ve got expectation! Do you have something that you just want to put a little pressure on, and expect? Come with me! I’m expecting your attitude to change! I’m expecting your prayer life to change! I’m expecting your giving to change! I’m expecting your soul winning to change! No false expectations! I’m going to expect it till you get pregnant with it.
